General settings
Access general settings from Settings → General.| Setting | Description |

| Workspace name | The display name shown in the Orkesta dashboard and in email notifications. |
| Workspace slug | A URL-safe identifier used in all API endpoint URLs. See the note below before changing it. |
| Timezone | Sets the timezone for scheduled jobs, report timestamps, and digest emails. Choose the timezone that matches your primary operations team. |
| Language | The default interface language for all members. Individual members can override this in their personal profile settings. |
Changes to the workspace slug update all API endpoint URLs. Notify your team and update any integrations before making this change.
Security
Access security settings from Settings → Security.- Session settings

Control how long authenticated sessions stay active before members must sign in again.
- Session timeout: Sessions expire after 7 days of inactivity by default. You can shorten this to as little as 1 hour for environments that require tighter controls.
- Force re-authentication for sensitive settings: When enabled, members must re-enter their password before changing billing details, rotating API keys, or modifying SSO configuration — even if their session is still active.
Notification defaults
Configure workspace-wide notification defaults from Settings → Notifications. Members can override these defaults in their personal notification preferences.| Notification type | Options | Description |

| Email digests | Daily, Weekly, Off | Summary of workspace activity delivered to all members on a schedule. |
| Mention alerts | Immediately, Hourly digest, Off | Alerts sent when a member is @mentioned in a comment or discussion. |
| Project update notifications | On, Off | Notifies project members when settings or membership changes are made. |
